I started with ddr games and dancemat for ps2 about a year ago but didnt play it long, got to finish quite many 9-foot songs which is still quite noob in the scene. The official mixes ("level packs") from arcade DDR aren't legal but are available as torrents from here and there.

The program itself is free but doesnt include any stepfiles (levels), these you have to download yourself. Unlike elma, theres a known maximum score, but its not so ez anyways. Basicly its quite elma-like with big community, "internals" (official mixes) and external packs (for both feet and keyboard) and hoyling for high score. It simulates Pump It Up, ParaParaParadise and EZ2Dancer as well, but finding controllers or stepfiles for these is hard.
